Meet Shannon Turley MA, CCC-SLP
Helping children and adults communicate with greater confidence through compassionate, evidence-based speech therapy and aural rehabilitation.
For me, speech therapy has never been just about improving communication skills—it's about helping people participate more fully in the conversations, relationships, and experiences that make life meaningful.
Why I Became a Speech-Language Pathologist
Communication is one of the most important parts of being human. It allows us to connect with family, build friendships, learn, work, advocate for ourselves, and share our stories.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children developing their first words, adults recovering communication after illness or injury, and individuals learning to navigate hearing loss.
Every person has a unique story, and every therapy plan should reflect that. I believe therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. My goal is to understand what matters most to each client and create meaningful, practical treatment that supports success in everyday life.
My Therapy Philosophy
I believe the best therapy happens when clients feel heard, respected, and supported.
Rather than focusing only on exercises completed during a therapy session, I work with clients and families to develop skills that carry over into daily life.
Whether we're practicing speech sounds, improving listening skills, building confidence with communication, or learning strategies, my goal is always the same:
To help each person communicate with greater confidence and independence.

A Few Things About Me
People often ask how I chose the name Happy Hearts Speech.
For me, it represents the partnership that develops between a therapist and a client. I believe the best outcomes happen when we work together toward the same goal—supporting meaningful communication and celebrating progress along the way.
When two people care about the same outcome and are equally invested in the journey, something special happens. We build trust, confidence grows, challenges become more manageable, and communication begins to open new opportunities. To me, that's what creates two happy hearts.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my family and my animals. I love being outdoors, whether I'm working in my garden, exploring nature, or simply enjoying Colorado's beautiful scenery. I'm also a big music fan and enjoy attending concerts and outdoor music events whenever I can.
These experiences remind me how important communication is in every part of life—from sharing a laugh with family to connecting with friends at a concert or enjoying quiet moments in nature. They inspire the compassionate, personalized care I strive to provide to every client and family I meet.
